iBikeShare organizes parallel events on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 for the next day of cycling in the city of Thessaloniki.
From 17:30 to 19:30, at the site of Thessbike in the area of the Friends of the Sea Group, the public will be informed about the new bicycle rental application developed as part of the project, while they will also be able to submit their views for the future of cycling in the city of Thessaloniki.
The app is available for Android and iOS and through it users can make a bike rental easier than ever, as well as win prizes the more they use Thessbike bikes. The application includes elements of gamification and aims to form a more positive attitude of citizens towards the use of bicycles, while through the reward system developed, regular users of the system are rewarded. Through the application, the citizens also have the opportunity to point out problems in the operation of the Thessbike system and in the bicycle infrastructure of the city, contributing to the improvement of the conditions of bicycle use in Thessaloniki.
From today, those who install the application on their mobile phone will receive a gift of 5 hours of cycling and will participate in the lottery for a bicycle and other rich gifts to promote the use of the bicycle by the citizens. The draw will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 20:30 at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
At the same time, 19:00 - 20:30 at the Allegro venue at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall - always observing all protection measures - there will be an evening entitled "The next day of cycling in the city of Thessaloniki", where the future will be discussed of cycling in the city of Thessaloniki… overlooking Thermaikos! The event will be attended by representatives of the Local Government and Ministries, representatives of cyclists associations as well as providers of public bicycle services.
